Cut special kiln paper to create beautiful snowflakes that will be encased in glass and fused in a kiln. In this fun and family-friendly 2-hour class you will create two 3" x 3" fused glass ornaments. If the minimum is not met 24 hours before the event, you’ll have the option to pay the difference for a private event amount, transfer to another date or Dabble experience, or receive a refund. Wear natural fibers (no fleece or spandex) clothing, hair tie for long hair and closed-toed shoes. Expect to make 6-10 beads during the class. This is a great introduction to glass beadmaking and flameworking and will allow you to come back and rent torch time so you can continue making beads. You can also string them in order to make a simple necklace or bracelet. No experience necessary. Walk away from the class with your beads strung onto a wire that can be used as a keychain, fan pull, light pull, zipper pull. Detailed safety instructions will be explained and demonstrated at the beginning and throughout the class.Īll materials are included. Dots, swirls, lines and frit will be available for use. In this 4-hour class, you will learn make your own beautiful glass beads by melting and designing beautifully colored glass with a torch. This experience has a minimum of 3 students required to go forward. Great for a date night or a girls/guys night out! Wear comfortable close-toed shoes. A white or clear base is included with the fee but different base colors can be purchased from the instructor. Pre-cut pieces will also be available to make your 5" x 5" fused glass dish. You will learn the basics of safely cutting and assembling flat glass. These stacked dishes are beautiful illustrations of fusing and the movement of molten glass when heated to high temperatures. We will assemble stacks of assorted fusible glass and let heat, surface tension and gravity do their work. Use a variety of brightly colored layers of flat glass to create a festive one-of-a-kind fused glass dish. Ornaments may be picked up in one to one and a half weeks. Extra snowflakes (if molds are availalbe) may be created for an extra $15 for large and $10 for small. Use glass frit, in a variety of colors, to fill ceramic molds that will then be put in the kiln and fired. Create beautiful glass snowflake ornaments that will add sparkle to any holiday festivities.
