All you need to do is attach a transportation component to it. Any side of a building can be an input or an output point. In Mindustry there are no designated input and output points of any kind of production or resource extraction building. A conveyor has strictly determined input and output sides. You can input items to a junction from any side. Many of our components are accepts items from any side. The second factor is the direction of the item transported to the component. Their interaction with other components cannot be defined as directional transportation.
